This policy explains what Palm Tree Video collects, why, where it is processed, and what you can do about it. The product facts match the notice shown on the upload page.
1. Who we are
Palm Tree Video is operated by Cherry Infotech, LLC (California, USA). Our servers that process and store your videos are located in Germany.
2. What we collect
- Account data: your email address and the sign-in session created by Clerk.
- Your content: the video and audio you upload, the transcript, and the output we produce (cut video, captions, emphasis text, cover image), plus the settings you choose.
- Payment data: purchase and billing records processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your card number.
- Technical data: the request logs and error logs we need to run, secure and debug the service (for example, when a job fails).
3. Why we use it
- To produce your edit and deliver the files to you.
- To keep your credit balance, quotes and bills correct.
- To investigate problems you report, and to prevent abuse.
- To meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your videos for advertising.
4. Where it is processed, and who helps us

5. How long we keep it
- Your media files (source video, audio and generated media) are deleted automatically 7 days after the last change. You can delete them earlier at any time. Please download anything you want to keep.
- Job ledger records are retained after media deletion for job history and troubleshooting.
- Backups are retained for 14 days.
- Billing records are retained for 7 years.
- Server logs are retained for 30 days.
6. Who can see your works
Only you. Our operations staff can view a work when they troubleshoot a problem, subject to confidentiality obligations.
7. Your rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, receive a copy, delete it, or object to or restrict its processing. You can also delete your works yourself at any time. To exercise these rights, contact [email protected]. We answer within 30 days.
8. Cookies
We use only what the service needs to work: a language-preference cookie (ov_lang),
sign-in cookies, and a session cookie for your account. We do not use advertising or third-party
tracking cookies.
9. Changes to this policy
When this policy changes we update the effective date above. Material changes are announced in the product.
