These terms govern your use of Palm Tree Video, the talking-head video editing service available on this website. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. Please also read our Privacy Policy and our Refund & Credits Policy.
1. What the service is
- The only generally available feature today is Talking-head Cut: you upload a video of yourself speaking to the camera, and we remove filler words and repeated takes, add captions and emphasis text, and write a cover.
- Viral clone and story shorts are shown as “Coming soon”. They are not available for general use yet.
2. Your account
- Sign-in is handled by Clerk. One account per email address.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us if you believe someone else has access to it: [email protected].
3. What you may upload
- You must own the video and audio you upload, or have permission from everyone whose voice, face or work appears in it.
- Do not upload unlawful material, or material that infringes someone else's rights (copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights).
- We may suspend or disable accounts that violate these rules, and remove the related works.
4. What we deliver
- We deliver a cut of your source material with captions, emphasis text and cover copy. Results depend on the material; you can adjust the result with the normal editing controls, which are included in the price.
- Processing time depends on the material and on the queue.
5. Price and payment
- 1 credit = US$0.05.
- Talking-head Cut costs 1 credit per second of source material: total milliseconds divided by 1,000, rounded up once for the whole task. No start fee or minimum. Ordinary edits within the same task are unlimited and included at no extra charge; queue and concurrency controls apply.
- If a job fails, the reserved credits are released automatically.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your card number.
- Pack and plan prices are shown on the purchase page and may change; the price shown at checkout applies to that purchase.
6. Credits, validity and refunds
- Paid credits are valid for 365 days from purchase. Gift and promotional credits are valid for 90 days, are used before paid credits, and cannot be refunded.
- Within 7 days of a purchase, if that purchase's credits are unused, we refund the full amount to the original payment method. Partially used purchases are not refundable.
- Subscription credits reset in each billing period and do not roll over; renewals are not refundable.
- Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred.

7. Your videos, access and retention
- Only you can see your works. Our operations staff may view them to troubleshoot problems.
- Works are deleted automatically 7 days after the last change, and you can delete them at any time. Download anything you want to keep.
8. Data and privacy
Video is processed and stored on our servers in Germany (Hetzner). Transcription (SenseVoice) runs on our own servers. To select lines and write cover copy we send text only to Google Gemini — video, audio and images are not sent. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
9. Beta service and changes
The service is in beta: features may change, be interrupted, or be withdrawn. We aim to announce material changes in the product. We do not guarantee an uptime level. We notify you of planned maintenance at least 24 hours in advance.
10. Liability
We provide the service as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the affected service in the 12 months before the claim.
11. Ending use
You can stop using the service at any time and delete your works. We may suspend or end access if these terms are violated.
12. Company and governing law
Palm Tree Video is operated by Cherry Infotech, LLC (California, USA). These terms are governed by the laws of California, USA. Disputes arising from these terms or use of the service are resolved in the courts located in California.
13. Changes to these terms
We notify you of changes to these terms at least 7 days before they take effect and update the effective date above. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
